Join us for Conversations on a Bench!
Have you ever wondered what it’s truly like to walk in the shoes of someone experiencing homelessness? Have you thought of the different ways to get involved and be part of the solution? Join us for a transformative event as our CEO, Matt Dildine, embarks on an extraordinary journey.
Matt will sit on a bench for 24 hours, rain or shine, no matter the weather, experiencing just a fraction of the challenges faced by those who are homeless. Without shelter, food, or resources, he aims to shed light on the daily struggles that many in our community endure.
While this event will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube, this event is not just about observing; it’s about coming together as a community to make a real difference. You’re invited to engage in meaningful conversations with Matt during his 24-hour bench experience. Individuals may show up, ask Matt a question, bring a donation of food or money, or even challenge their friends to also donate. Discover firsthand the stories, challenges, and resilience of the individuals we serve at the Fresno Mission. We will be joined by different local politicians, non-profit CEO’s, community members, and others discussing various views on hot topics such as homelessness, poverty, mental illness, policies, and needs and challenges of our community.
By watching the live stream, you will gain insight into the work the Fresno Mission and others do to support our unhoused community and how people are using their giftings, education, and resources to help provide solutions in the valley. Join CEO Matt Dildine for a conversation on the bench and begin to understand the underlying causes of homelessness in Fresno. For 24 hours we will explore the solutions and initiatives that are being implemented to combat this crisis. This event is your opportunity to join a community committed to fighting homelessness in Fresno. Your presence, your questions, and your support can make a lasting impact.
Let’s come together to create awareness, empathy, and meaningful change. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to “Conversations on a Bench” and let’s start a conversation that matters
